OUR AIM, OUR PROJECT
INVENT THE ROOF OF TOMORROW
WE BELIEVE IN CIRCULAR ECONOMY
Break with the " Linear economy " (remove, transform, toss) is imperative. We have to revisit our existing templates and to use nature as an inspiration where everything is useful and re-used.
The circular economy age will make the consumption of our natural resources and the treatment of waste more efficient.
THE CONSTRUCTION HAS TO REDUCE ITS IMPACT ON ENVIRONMENT
Worldwide, building is a necessity, a growing and indispensable need. But, standards and technologies used has severe consequences : the greenhouse gas production, the consumption of non-revewable raw materials, soil eroision, energy use and non-biodegradable waste.
The descontruction of buildings generate the most important quantities of non-recyclable waste.
RAW MATERIALS OF A BYGONE AGE
Everyday, more than 20 millions square meters of roof are fixed over the world with raw material with a severe negative impacts on the environment : non-renewable raw materials, non-recyclable products, energy-consumming and polluting manufacturing process.
It is time to develop a roofing material technicaly efficient, economically profitable and environmentally virtuous .
CELLOZ, AN INNOVATIVE BIOMATERIAL COMING FROM CELLULOSE FIBRE
The cellulose from every plant and seaweed is the most abundant and renewable organic material on earth. This polymer is as rigide as kevlar and as strong as glass on microscale.
The cellulose owns the mains qualities in terms of mechanical performance and water resistance.
A BUILDING BIO MATERIAL
NEXT GENERATION
A UNIQUE MATERIAL
FOR ARCHITECTURAL DESIGN
Being sheltered under one roof has always been a basic human need. Forty thousands years ago, in Siberia, the hut was protected with a roof made of mammoth skin. Prehistoric men used also natural materials like wood, tree bark, stubble and straw.
SHAPE SUSTAINABLE SPACE
OUR COMMITMENT TO TOMORROW ARCHITECTS AND BUILDERS
Celloz allows to design all type of roofs, in all shapes and colors, from a material totally eco friendly.
The flexibility of Celloz fibre allows to design existing roof shapes, to adapt them to the regional style, to copy them perfectly. Celloz opens new creative options where architects can imagine new shapes totally modern and futuristic.
The worldwide roof pitched market is around 7600 millions of square meters and US$100 billion. France and Europe represent 770 millions and 144 millions square meters.

A STRONG ENTREPRENEURIAL SPIRIT
.
The founding team is composed of committed employees who share a taste for entrepreneurship and innovation.
François Ruffenach :
Engineer with more than 20 years of expertise in the construction industry, and aware of the negative impact of construction on ecosystems, François took up the challenge by developing a revolutionary construction material made of cellulose fibers and natural plant-based resins. He filed several patents and created the Celloz company in 2017.
Jean-Michel Gillibert :
Graduate of ESSEC business school, marketing and commercial strategy expert both in France and abroad, and strong advocate of the circular economy, Jean-Michel befriended François in 2016, and became co-founder of the Celloz company by bringing complementary skills to those of François.
